The Bruntwood Playwriting Competition
The 2008 Bruntwood Playwriting Competition for The Royal Exchange is inviting entries. It's open to all writers aged 18 and over, regardless of previous experience and offers a first prize of £15,000.
The winner of the 2005 award was Ben Musgrave, whose play Pretend You Have Big Buildings was subsequently performed on The Royal Exchange's main stage.
Entrants must submit an original, unperformed full-length stage play on any theme for any number of actors. The closing date for entries is 13 June 2008.
Full details are available on the competition website.
