My first original TV series, Father Brown (developed with Tahsin Guner from the G K Chesterton short stories) transmits from 14th January 2013 on BBC1, with Mark Williams in the title role. Tahsin and I are currently writing scripts for a possible series two.

I started out working in-house on TV drama - for World Productions, Channel 5 soap Family Affairs, and Sky 1 football drama Dream Team - but stepped in to rewrite a Dream Team episode and never looked back. I wrote on Dream Team for three series before leaving for the BBC Writers' Academy. For the last seven years I've variously been a core writer on EastEnders and Casualty, helping create characters and storylines and writing up to 12 eps of EastEnders or 5 eps of Casualty a year, whilst developing my own film and TV projects.
