The Find A Writer database contains contact details for all Full Members of the Guild – i.e. members with at least one professional credit. If we do not have details of the writer’s agent, and the writer has not entered their own email address, your contact request will go via the Guild office.

All information is entered by the member themselves.

Full members who want to enter or update their details should visit our login page.

Advanced search will allow you to search on more criteria, for example, writers' credits.

Contact Writer

As a Producer/Director, Colin Ward has written for children's factual and entertainment television for over twenty years, including two Bafta-award winning series. In 2011, he set up History Writer Ltd to provide a research, writing, and publishing service for companies wanting to celebrate their history and has now completed books on two iconic Yorkshire brands; Silver Cross and Grattan.

All Members who have joined online can login to update their contact details and renew their membership on the Guild's membership database
Full Members can login to update their listing on Find a Writer database on this website.

Please note that the systems use different usernames and passwords.

The Writers' Guild of Great Britain supports writers across media including books, film, online, radio, theatre, TV and videogames.

We campaign for writers and negotiate agreements to secure the best possible pay and conditions. Membership is open to writers of all levels of experience.
